Ferdinand I

Ferdinand I (Alcalá de Henares, Spain, 10th May 1503 – Vienna, 25th July 1564) Czech, Hungarian and German king. In 1556, after his brother, Carl V resigned and divided the Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand became the Holy Roman Emperor. His wife was Anna of Bohemia and Hungary, brother of Louis II. Inventive and consistent organizer, he reformed his countries’ government and economy.
