Cuspinianus, Johannes

Cuspinianus, Johannes (Schweinfurt, December 1473 – Vienna, 19th April 1529), Austrian humanist physician, scientist, diplomat, historian, poet. From 1499, professor of the University of Vienna. Later, he was named rector. After 1510, he worked as the emissary of Maximilian I and Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria. One of the organizers of the meeting of kings in 1515.
